Mindy’s vocal abilities create her eclectic sound blending soul\, blues and modern Motown. \nSaxophonist\, Pianist\, Composer\, Educator.  Throughout his career\, Reggie Padilla is Hawaii’s preeminent saxophonist and has had the opportunity to study and participate in master classes with Lew Soloff\, Phil Woods\, Jim Snidero\, Doc Severinsen\, Marcus Roberts\, Billy Taylor\, Pete Malinverni\, Bob Albanese\, Don Friedman\, and Martin Wind. In January 2007\, Reginald relocated to Honolulu\, Hawaii\, and continued his musical journey. Reggie continues to perform and record around the world on both tenor saxophone and piano. He has recorded 3 full length studio albums and is endorsed by Theo Wanne mouthpieces and P. Mauriat saxophones. \nPercussionist Carlos Betancourt has performed\, taught\, and studied internationally during his forty- year professional career. Currently living in Hawaii\, he passes on the passion for Afro-Latin rhythms carefully instilled in him and offers that love and respect through his innovative use of traditional forms and instruments. Drawing from his training\, he brings influences from experiences in African and Caribbean music as well as jazz\, funk and rhythm and blues. He has had the opportunity of travelling internationally with his music and has been blessed to share the stage with acknowledged Latino masters and musicians such as Tito Puente\, Eddie Palmieri and La Perfecta II\, Johnny Pacheco (RIP)\, Regino Jimenez\, “Mr. Bongo” Jack Constanza (RIP)\, Oscar de Leon\, Jimmy Bosch\, Angel “Cachete” Maldonado (RIP)\, Freddie Miranda Jr\, Abiud Flores\, Jay Franco\, Hector Tricoche\, Johnny Rivera\, Anthony Cruz (RIP)\, Michael Spiro\, Regino Jimenez\, “Bosco” y su Orquesta Gitano\, Emilio Camacho\, Hector Rivera\, Mikey Holguin from the California Swing band “Big Time Operator” and Van Lester. First off\, attendance will be capped at just 50! The venue will be thoroughly cleaned before and during the event. There will be a temperature check at the door. Please enter the club with your mask on. You may take off your mask while seated at your table however if you get up for any reason you MUST put your mask on. This is for your safety and the safety of everyone in attendance.  Hand sanitizer will be available at the door before and after you leave. Social distancing rules will apply within the club and throughout the show. We can’t really believe that we’re saying this but there will be no dancing allowed ;(  Also\, the stage and audience will be separated by plexiglass. We’ll take it in order to play live again and we hope that this is only a temporary measure…  Our main objective is that everyone feels and is safe at the event and has fun at the same time!  \nOur special guests for the night will be Air Raid City Sound System featuring Chris Yates spinning some tasty vintage soul music all night long!  Opening up the night will be Bound featuring Nick Kurosawa\, Hawai’i Soul Brother #1 😉 It’ll be super good vibes all night\, we promise!   \nFood will be available for the show via Downbeat Diner. DESCRIPTION:Second Saturdays @ The Studio “100% Dyn-o-Mite Soul & Funk!” \nSaturday — July 13\, 2019 \nThe Elevations Hawai’i  \n@ The Studio at Hawaiian Brian’s \nAll Ages   | doors at 8:00 pm\, show starts at 9:00 pm  | $10 at the door \nIt’s been a crazy roller coaster of year for The Elevations Hawai’i since their highly-anticipated Debut Show back in May ‘18!  Since then\, the band has been gigging hard and steady and also hitting the studio to record their first single\, “Coming Straight for You”.  Other highlights for year 1 was playing the Sailor Jerry Festival 2018\, the Hawaii Ink & Art Expo 2018\, Hawaii Public Radio’s “Applause in a Small Room”\, KTUH’s Monday Night Live!\, hosting a Halloween special “A Very Frightful Night!\,”  hosting “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!” Christmas show and later\, their first Live Stream Christmas Special! To cap off year one\, The Elevations played the main stage at the St. Paddy’s Day Block party in front of thousands…  Come help The Elevations Hawai’i celebrate for all these reasons and many\, many more to come!
